Viva Las Vegas!

{point and shoot photos from my recent trip to Las Vegas}

Although  country girl at heart, this city and I get along amazingly well... .  Every time I come here I find more fun things to do and see..... Of course the flight itself provides an amazing view .. these are views about 15-45 minutes outside of Vegas.

Then of course there is the hotel itself...  you know your living in luxury when they put a sticker on the TP!

 

No trip to Vegas could be complete without a tour of the strip...

But this year we spent more time in the "old strip".... Fremont Street..... it was so much fun :)

 But of course it wasn't all fun and games...... I had to fight this guy just to keep my drink!

of course when your in Vegas you have to talk "shop"  The camera guy was simply amazing... so much fun to chat with, and he gave me some great ideas that i can't wait to try!

 

So I guess that is what I've been up to all week.... can't wait to get back home to snow and cold....  right.

I am Thankful for Brides that trust their photographers to capture beautiful memories.

I am Thankful for....Couples that let me pull them out of their reception to capture the last good light of the night.

I am Thankful for....Couples who let me take a million pictures of their rings on their wedding day.... just because I'm obsessed with pretty shiny things!

I am Thankful for.....Brides who think outside of  "real," fabric," and "plastic" and pick CLAY flowers!

I am Thankful for.....Photogenic couples who cherish their time alone with their photographers on their wedding day to get amazing photos that will last a lifetime.

I am Thankful for fun wedding parties that go along with our crazy ideas!

I am Thankful for...A crowd that gets out there and dances.... cause I got a feeling...

I am Thankful for Brides who use Vegetables in their bouquet.... photographers are known to get hungry ;)

I am Thankful for brides who trust their photographers with their perfect dresses (before they even put them on).

I am Thankful for creative brides... like these zipper boutineers with amazing shoes and this one of a kind head piece setting!

I am Thankful for grooms who get WOOD rings!  ahhhh

I am Thankful for artistic brides who make clothespins, invites, cards, amazing signs and flowers!

I am Thankful for couples who choose to have a First Look before the ceremony... it makes for an amazing moment!

I am Thankful for 2010 being a Bridezilla Free Year!!!!!

I am Thankful for CAKES, cupcakes, cheesecakes, and especially Kristi's Cakes (from Kristi's Cakes and Pastries in Wilton WI.... THE best cakes EVER)

I am Thankful for brides who aren't afraid to try anything!

I am Thankful for Photo Booths!!  I think every wedding should have one!

I am Thankful for Photoshop which can turn a fun picture into a super fun picture!

I am Thankful for beautiful days and no rain-outs in 2010!  (knock on wood for 2011)

I am Thankful for farmer's fields that I tromp out in.

I am Thankful to work with other photographers who are super creative.

I am so thankful that Erica is going to be giving me her wedding dress.... ok, maybe she isn't, but I was SO Thankful to have been able to photograph it.. ohhhhh was it beautiful!

I am Thankful to have been invited to someplace warm and tropical for an amazing wedding, then been able to meet up with them again for their "home" reception!

I am Thankful to have such wonderful friends who enjoy the same things I do.

But MOST OF ALL I am Thankful for YOU!  Thank for letting me capture your moments!

Clay Flowers!  Yes like the dirt you use to play in.... these were so super cool!  Light, smooth, beautiful!  Being a soil's major in college, these were the coolest thing I've had at a wedding!

Zac's beautiful and totally unexpected gift he presented to Jenn during their first look... he even gave her a card and flowers that morning to throw her off so she wouldn't expect it!

My first wedding of the year with a bagpiper!  LOVE the sound of bagpipes!

I think this is my favorite one of the day.  Love her sassy-ness and his laugh.

The most amazing bridge that Zac and Jenn worked their butts off to get to!
